The French Foreign Ministry is concerned about recent Turkish attacks on northern Syria

The French Foreign Ministry expressed its concern about the Turkish attacks on the areas of north and east Syria liberated from the hands of Daesh, and called for a political solution to establish lasting stability, stressing that there is no solution to the Syrian dispute by military means.

"We express our concern about the bombing carried out by Turkey, which targeted the north-east of Syria yesterday, liberated from the grip of the Daesh organization," the French Foreign Ministry said on its official website on Twitter, commenting on recent Turkish attacks on the villages of Kobani in northern Syria.

"There is no way to resolve the Syrian conflict by military means, and there is no way to achieve lasting stability except in the framework of a political solution in accordance with Security Council Resolution 2254."

After the repeated threats of Erdoğan to the liberated areas of northeastern Syria and following the quadripartite summit held in Ankara on October 28, the shelling of several villages west of Kobani canton resulted in the martyrdom of a fighter from the Self-Defense Duty, on the targeting of the border gate of Girê Spî(Tel Abyad) city and preliminary reports indicate one fighter martyred and another wounded.
