Faithful of their resistance.. challenge difficulties in all seasons

Afrin canton is still occupied by Turkish occupation and its gangs since 58 days and the people of Afrin have presented most sacrifices against the occupation in the history against all kinds of heavy weapons such as tanks and warplanes, with the silence of the international society.

Afrin people had headed towards al-Shahba canton on 18 March and they are continuing their resisting there which entered in its second stage "Resistance of the Age".

The people who settled in the camps, towns and villages in al-Shahba canton are facing severe conditions as lack of capabilities, and the resistance is still ongoing and it has entered its eighth month.

Winter season has come and the people of Afrin will face harsh conditions as extreme cold, frost and rain.

With a look of the people of Afrin who are settled in al-Shahab canton's camps, we note their insistence on resistance amid international silence towards Turkish occupation's attacks, which looted all their properties, burned olive trees and destroyed their homes.

Place and time are not important

On the other hand, the children of Afrin insist on attending the schools which had been opened by the Training Committee in the Democratic Society in Afrin canton in the villages of al-Shahba canton despite the difficulties they have faced.

This proves to the people of the world that the place and time are not important to preserve their language and existence and will not abandon them no matter how the international community has abandoned them and whatever the silence of the international states and organizations concerned towards what is happening in Afrin city of egregious violations against its population.

The citizen Zaki Khlo who is residing in Serdim camp in al-Shahba canton said "We have resisted in front of the occupation planes 58 days in Afrin, and we have provided a large number of martyrs in order to defend our land and soil and thus put an imprint on the history of humanity. Now we are here in the camps. We will continue this resistance and we will not give up of our principle in any circumstances, cold or heat until the liberation of our land from the occupiers and return victorious and lift banners of victory. "

They have created life from nothing

The citizen Qadart battal also living inside the camp pointed out that the Turkish occupation tried to undermine their will and added "The enemy wanted to undermine our will in Afrin through its barbaric bombardment with sophisticated weapons on the ground and air, but the people showed great resistance and proved to the world that they are a people with a solid spirit of resistance, even after their movement to al-Shahba canton.

She added "Afrin people are an organized people and after their stability in al-Shahba canton, they organized themselves in a communal way," she said. "We prove to the whole world that Afrin is ours, not to the fascist occupiers."
