Students, teachers: Conspiracy against Ocalan failed, we to be decent for Ocalan’s philosophy

On Wednesday, thousands of students and teachers of ​​Amuda district in al-Jazeera region gathered in the courtyard of the Martyr Jihad in the center of the district to protest against the intensive isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan by the Turkish authorities.

The demonstrators held the pictures of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, the flags of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), Congra Star, the emblem of the Education Body, banners with “No to isolation and no to the Turkish occupation.”

The demonstration was launched from the Martyr Jihad Square and toured the streets of the area. During the demonstration, the students and teachers chanted the slogans, “No Life without the Leader Ocalan. We Salute the Resistance of the Leader Ocalan against the Turkish State.”

The demonstration was stopped at the entrance of the district. After holding a minute of silence, a statement was read on behalf of the teachers and pupils of Amuda distric in Kurdish to the public opinion by the Kurdish language teacher Hanaa Khalid.

The statement made clear, “With the emergence of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement led by the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan who played an important role in spreading the free democratic thought among the peoples of the Middle East. The capitalist states tried to extinguish the spark of freedom advocated by the leader Ocalan.”

The statement made clear that the authoritarian and capitalist countries could not take away the Kurdish people from Kurdistan Freedom Movement and could not undermine the Movement militarily, economically and organizationally so they targeted the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan aiming to eliminate the Kurdish people.

The statement pointed out that the capitalist countries headed by Turkey signed an international conspiracy against Ocalan in February 15, 1999, and he was arrested, under which he was delivered to Turkey which imposes an intensive isolation on him. The statement also noted that the aim of the plot is to strike the Kurdish people in the personality of the leader Ocalan and extinguish the flame of Freedom. It said, “But their filthy policies failed.”

The statement said that Ocalan is imprisoned only physically and they could not arrest his thought that spread among the Kurdish people and the peoples of the Middle East, and that the gains achieved today by the Kurds in Kurdistan, especially in Rojava is the product of the thought of Ocalan. The teachers and students expressed through the statement, “Therefore, we as teachers and students will work to spread the free thought and the cultural knowledge of our history, and we will evolve ourselves to be decent for the thought and philosophy of the leader Ocalan.”

The teachers, students and administrators of the Training Committee in Amuda condemned the isolation and the international conspiracy against the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, and they made clear, “We assure that the conspiracy failed because today, thousands are studying the philosophy of the democratic nation that has become the proper response to the plot. Our motto is no life without the leader.”
