SDF thwarted IS' attacks

SDF's media center issued a statement and revealed the outcome of the ongoing clashes within the battle to defeat terrorism in the past 24 hours. The statement said:

1 - Al-Bagouz axes: Strong clashes broke out between our fighters and IS, the latter used heavy weapons and mortars randomly. As a result of the clashes, our fighters seized a mortar of 120-mm caliber and a number of other weapons and military equipment, and several terrorists were killed.

In the morning, the terrorist organization  launched attacks on the positions of our forces south of al-Sousa village. Our fighters confronted them. Violent clashes irrupted, in which a number of terrorists were killed. Our fighters also destroyed a motorcycle with a number of vehicles used by the terrorists. In addition to the bombing of a number of mines planted by terrorists in the area.

On the same axis, our fighters targeted the positions of the terrorists, through mortar shelling, causing losses in their ranks, but the outcome was not known, due to the heavy shelling and the presence of mines in the area.

In conjunction with the clashes, Coalition artillery shelled terrorist positions, destroying 3 sites and causing casualties. Coalition aircraft also participated in shelling terrorist positions and points.

2 - Hajin axis: This axis witnessed battles and clashes between our fighters and terrorists our troops managed to killa number of them, in addition to the destruction of some of the sites where they were holed up, and our fighters were able to detonate a number of mines planted by terrorists to prevent the progress of our fighters, International Coalition Forces targeted terrorist sites with Hummers missiles, destroying some of their positions.

3 - Outcome of the clashes:

- The number of terrorists killed: 9 / terrorists.

- The International coalition strikes: two strikes.

- The number of rockets launched by the coalition on terrorist sites: two rockets.

-The  terrorist losses: 3 headquarters were destroyed, in addition to destroy a motorcycle and seizing a mortar.
