Al-Darbasiya's lawyers: Isolation of Ocalan is flagrant violation of human rights

In conjunction with the Turkish occupation’s continued systematic isolation on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan, the occupation prevents his lawyer from meeting him, in addition to preventing his family from visiting him.

In this regard,  the lawyer Zaki Hamed, a member of Lawyers Union in al-Jazeera region says, "The abduction and detention of the leader is a detention of liberty, and the imposition of severe isolation in this manner is a flagrant violation of human rights, although human rights are described as sacred in all constitutions and international laws, there is a suspicious international silence about Turkey's failure to respect that sacred right."

Hamed pointed out that Ocalan seeks to achieve the democratic nation's project and does not differentiate between the components. Therefore, the Turkish state imposes strict isolation on him.

On the issue of preventing Ocalan from meeting with his family and lawyers, Hamed pointed out that "preventing the leader from meeting with his lawyer and his family is an attack on human rights and a proof that Turkey does not recognize all international laws that guarantee the rights of all detainees, all human rights organizations in the world must act to stop Turkey, otherwise, the consequences of these violations will be catastrophic for human rights throughout the world."

For his part, lawyer Hassan Mustafa, holds the international organizations working in the field of human rights and activists of the world, the consequences of the violations in the Imrali prison against the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan.

He said, "the Turkish state is well known for not accepting any language and any culture other than its language and culture."  And added "these violations are not strange to this regime based on tyranny and dictatorship."

He noted that he is convinced that the freedom of the leader of the Kurdish people will be achieved soon, thanks to the continued resistance of his people who are always working for the freedom of their leader and resist like what he has resisted in Imrali prison for years."

While lawyer Haitham Bakr, said that the Turkish state committed the most terrible crimes against the Kurdish people, with the aim of annihilation, and the destruction of every people trying to claim freedom and democracy

Bakr pointed out that the Kurdish people reached advanced levels of freedom, organized themselves and played a leading role in many fields, and achieved many victories thanks to all of the thought and philosophy of Ocalan.

The lawyers emphasized that they are as jurists will not abandon the issue of the leader Ocalan, who freed the people from injustice and slavery, and will continue their work until the rights of the leader of the Kurdish people freedom, and called on human rights organizations to bring Ocalan to a fair global court.
