Afrin people refused to advocate Turkish occupation

Since the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries have occupied Afrin till this day, the most brutal violations are practiced against the people starting with the displacement and demographic change in the area, and then kidnapping, killing, robbing their properties, burning their lands and trying to erase their culture. Recently, the residents have been being forced to go into demonstrations in Afrin city and its districts to demand saluting the Turkish occupation army.

According to information obtained by Hawar news agency from Afrin, the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation organize demonstrations on Fridays to support the Turkish occupation army, and they oblige the people to participate in these demonstrations.

The source confirmed that the citizens refused on Friday to participate in the demonstration despite of being threatened of weapons, and that raised the resentment of the mercenaries and the Turkish occupation army.

The source confirmed that the Turkish Intelligence (MIT) is resentful about the mercenaries’ failure to come the people out to demonstrate, pointing out that the Turkish MIT held a meeting that was attended by the mercenary gangs’ officials in addition to the head of the so-called local council that was established by the Turkish occupation army in Afrin. During the meeting, the Turkish MIT asked the mercenary gangs to force the people to come out on the demonstration next Friday in any way, raise the Turkish flags in addition to chanting slogans that salute the Turkish occupation army during the demonstrations.

The Turkish Intelligence threatened to arrest all councils’ heads in Afrin if they would fail to take the people out to demonstrate next Friday.
