HPG: 2 Turkish soldiers killed, aerial raids burnt civilians' orchards

The media center of the Popular Defense Forces (HPG) pointed out that the operation of their forces led to the killing of 2 soldiers of the Turkish army, and it also published information about attacks launched by the Turkish occupation on Amed and Şirnex cities.

HPG’s media center issued on Sunday a statement to the public opinion, revealing the outcomes of an operation carried out by their forces, and publishing information about attacks launched by the Turkish occupation on cities in Bakur (North Kurdistan).

The statement said,

"In the context of the revolutionary campaign launched in the name of Pîroz and Agirî Martyrs, our forces carried out a special operation against the Turkish occupation army positioned on Lêlîkan hill of Bradost area in Başûr (South Kurdistan) on September 22 at 14:00. Our forces launched heavy strikes to the enemy's sites and destroyed its fortifications. The operation also led to the killing of 2 soldiers of the Turkish occupation.

Launching attacks on Agirî

The Turkish occupation army launched an attack on Halaja area in Agirî Mount on September 21 at 13:00 with the assistance of the air force. On the same day, at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, the helicopters bombed the area. The attack was foiled on September 22 without reaching any outcomes. The Turkish occupation propagates via its media outlets and says that the attack led to martyring our fighters, but the attack did not result in martyring any fighter.

Launching attack on Amed and Şirnex

In the evening of September 19, the Turkish occupation army launched attacks on the Martyr Kawa Square between the areas of Basûr, Farqin, Licê and Hênê of Amed city. The attack was foiled on September 21 without any result.

The fighter Berna Yalman was not martyred

We published in a statement on September 21 that 5 of our fighters were martyred in battles broke out between them and the Turkish occupation army that used the air force on September 14 in Kato Marinus area in Elkê district of Şirnex. We have announced that our fighter Hîra Hêvîdar whose nom de guerre is Berna Yalman was martyred, but she did not martyr and returned to her point.

The aerial raids

On September 21 at 10 am, warplanes launched raids on Kartal hill in Avashin area.

On September 22, at 01:10, Kobra helicopters launched raids on the Martyr Rustam Square in Zab area, resulting in breaking out fires in the orchards that belong to the civilians."
