'Teachers have basic role in creating generation that maintain Syria’s unity'

The constituent conference of Deir ez-Zor Teachers Union began with delivering speeches on the political situation. The speeches praised the teachers' role in establishing a well-raised and educated generation on the foundations of the democratic nation that will preserve the unity of Syria whether in land and people.

Under the slogans "Teachers Are the Engineers of Minds and the Stores of Wisdom," the constituent conference’s activities of Deir ez-Zor Teachers Union began on Sunday, and the member of the Executive Committee of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) Hikmat Habib and the member of MSD Rajab al-Mushref spoke about the political situation in the area.

Hikmat Habib said, "The conference is held under exceptional circumstances of the Syrian crisis, and we have reached a stage of dedicating the building of institutions, indicating that not only the military liberation, but there is a work on liberating the mentality through organization, and the teachers are one of those tools that can work to implant new thought for the future generations."

Hikmat Habib confirmed that some countries that were called the friends of the Syrian people are the ones who sought to destroy it and I mean the AKP when it opened its borders to the terrorists to talk later about the project of dividing the Syrian north and this conference and our full experience proved the contrary of what they say.

The member of MSD's General Coordination Rajab al-Mushref said, "Syria is experiencing the crisis of the policies between major countries and regional countries that have used their agenda based on their interests, and that the political tensions have increased tension in the area."

Rajab said that Idlib was a depiction of the tensions in the area that were severe on the Syrian crisis and the most severe impact of which was the Turkish occupation of the Syrian territories and its support to terrorism, while the Syrian people are paying the price.

He explained that the teachers must be active in solving political, economic and social issues because the teachers are the vanguard of the present and the future.

It is planned that a union of teachers will be formed in Deir ez-Zor, the internal system will be approved and the final statement will be read.
