The aim of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in carrying out the aggression against Afrin was not only to destroy the homes of the residents, but also to destroy the will of the indigenous peoples and erase their heritage, culture and history that are rooted since thousands of years

The residents of Afrin, who live in al-Shahba areas and the camps that were established to receive them, have been able to keep their folk songs and teach them to their children in an attempt to preserve the cultural heritage of Afrin, in defiance of the Turkish occupation and its policies, and to convey a clear message that resistance is still alive against the occupation and its mercenaries.

Culture and Art Body and since its transfer to the areas of al-Shahbaa, have organized the activities of the children of Afrin, confirming that the return to Afrin begins with the preservation of Afrin's art and culture.

In the past week, the organization has performed two songs: Berxwedana Efrînê which means resistance of Afrin and Buhara gûndê me which means the spring of our village performed by a band of five children in Berwedan camp who are trained two days a week by members of the Culture Body.

Farhad Aloush, a member of the Culture and Art Body said, "The Turkish occupation army's plans and its mercenaries were unable to break the will of our people as they were aiming to," said Farhad Aloush, after we moved to the areas of al-Shahba within villages and camps, we continued to resist, where we have written songs of Resistance of the Age which our people have demonstrated it in Afrin, and songs prove our determination to return to our land and preserve our culture.
