Nearly two years have passed since the opening of a displaced persons camp in Manbij to become a safe haven for people fleeing from killing and destruction from conflict areas. The camp administration in Manbij sought to provide initial support to the displaced in order to manage them in terms of service.

The camp, which is located southeast of Manbij city, is divided into two sections. The first section of the camp is comprised of 340 tents, housing about 2,150 displaced people, including 300 children under the age of two.

The second section of the camp includes 445 tents inhabited by 3500 displaced people, including 700 children under the age of two, mostly from the areas of Maskana and Deir Hafer, which are controlled by the Syrian regime.

The number of displaced persons was even higher, but after the liberation of Syrian Democratic Forces of the areas al-Tabqa, al-Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, thousands of displaced persons returned to their areas after being liberated from IS mercenaries.

"The possibilities we provide to the displaced are weak, because the international organizations do not provide adequate support to the displaced as the winter approaches; we have invited humanitarian organizations to provide the necessary support to the displaced, but the promises have not yet been fulfilled. The support for the displaced is not enough. "

Imam Mustafa said in his speech that they have provided job opportunities for the displaced to work as the cleaning of the camp, and the daily transfer of workers to the customs yards to work there.

In his speech, Mustafa appealed to all international and humanitarian organizations to provide the necessary support to the people, especially that the tent had been for two-year under the influence of the sun and rain.

He called on the organizations to provide food baskets, and special winter clothing for children in addition to milk to the presence of nearly 1000 children under the age of two years.

As the winter approaches, displaced people suffer from the weariness of the tents they live in. The displaced attempt to repair the tents themselves, but the tents are soon worn out.

Siham al-Haji called on humanitarian organizations to provide support, the most important of which are tents which are considered the housing for the displaced.
