The Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and the Kurdistan Women's Freedom Party began a hunger strike on September 12 for  the leader of the Kurdish  people Abdullah Ocelan and sick detainees. The strike ended today at the scheduled time of three days.

Thousands of political detainees pay attention to the isolation imposed on Abdullah Ocelan and the torture of detainees who are  suffering from diseases.

Denis Kaya made a speech among the detainees and said they were on hunger strike to lift the isolation and release and treat the sick detainees.

Kaya also said that the PKK and the Kurdistan Women's Freedom Party have a great struggle against the Justice and National Movement. "Fascism wanted to wipe out the will of the people through prisons. However, the resistance of 14 July prevailed. Today we will triumph."

The detainees also said they would not accept the isolation of Ocelan, and that many of their sick companions had lost their lives as a result of the lack of medicines, stressing that they would continue in the resist.
