Commander of 9th Regiment of SDF: Our forces liberated 7 km

The commander of the 9th Regiment of the Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF) which is stationed in the front lines of the campaign to liberate al-Hajin town, said that their forces have liberated 7 km since the announcement of the last stage, pointing out that IS mercenaries are collapsing day after day.

SDF are advancing in the final stage of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign aimed at liberating Hajin area, the last of the mercenaries' stronghold east of the Euphrates River.

The correspondent of ANHA agency reached the front lines between Syria's Democratic Forces and IS mercenaries and met the commander of the 9th Regiment of the Syrian Democratic Forces Fahd Khasham who talked about the last stage and the areas liberated by the forces since the day of its announcement.

Khasham said their forces had advanced significantly in the northern and eastern axis of Bagouz village, and that they were continuing to advance in other areas occupied by mercenaries.

He added "We have managed to liberate half of Bagouz Fawqani village, to be on the outskirts of the village of al-Sousse which is a gateway to reach Hajin town from the east."

He noted "Mercenaries use heat and laser bombs and use the booby traps they could not take with them before fleeing, and try to detonate car bombs at the points of our fighters."
