PYD held meeting to explain recent developments in Rumailan

The meeting was held today in the office of PYD's party in Rumailan, in the presence of dozens of parents and administrators and workers in the oil fields.

After holding a minute of silence, the joint presidential adviser of the Democratic Union Party, Sihanouk Dibo, spoke about the events in the area.

Dibo pointed to the Syrian crisis and that the main reason of this crisis is insistence on applying the central system in Syria, and stressed that one of the most important obstacles to the solution is the intervention of regional states.

He added "The regional countries are trying to divide Syria according to the projects of the great powers which does not match the wishes of the Syrian people."

 Dibo pointed out that the goal of the Turkish occupation in Afrin, is dividing Syria, and joining Afrin to Turkish lands.

Dibo stressed that the solution to the Syrian crisis is dialogue and negotiation, pointing out that the fighting and militarism proved their failure to resolve the crisis.

At the end of his speech, Sihanouk Dibo noted that the failure of the Tehran meeting had warned of the failure of the Astana meetings and stressed that the regime's attack on Idlib meant Astana's failure.

Turkish officials had previously said that any attack by the regime and Russia on Idlib would mean aborting Astana's output.
