Syrian Women Council opened branch in Girê Spî

The ceremony was attended by the general coordinator of the Syrian Women Council Lina Berakat, a number of representatives of the council in the areas of North Syria, representatives of the institutions of the canton’s council in addition to dozens of women.

The ceremony began with holding a minute of silence. Then, many speeches were delivered, including the speech of the general coordinator of the Syrian Women Council Lina Barakat, the speech of the administrator in the Martyrs' Families Council Suzan Berjes, the speech of the administrator in the Women Office within the Syrian Democratic Council Amina Saleh, the speech of Kongra Star's member in Girê Spî Haifa Muslim, the speech of the member of the Women Committee in Girê Spî Rawda Mohammed, the speech of the member of the Democratic Union Party Birvan Hassen and the speech of the member of the Women Council in al-Raqqa Zahra Mustafa.

The speeches congratulated all the women of the canton on the opening of the Syrian Women Council’s office in Girê Spî and wished them the success.

The speeches confirmed that women have proved their role, highlighted their resistance and wrote their own history in North Syria and that the Syrian Women Council will struggle to promote women to an advanced level.

Then, the opening band was cut by the mothers of the martyrs and candy was distributed to the audience at the end of the celebration.

It is noteworthy that the office is located in al-Eskan neighborhood of Girê Spî city.
