Water reaches 85% of homes in the city

In spite of what the municipality is doing, but there is a lot of delay and lack of services, and water reached most neighborhoods of al-Raqqa city by 85%.Some neighborhoods still complain about the lake of water so far, due to the fractures in the water network and the old pipes that do not bear the pressure overload and absorb water pressure, preventing water from reaching other neighborhoods.

Rehabilitation of the sewage network

The People's Services Committee has rehabilitated the sewage network since June and has not yet completed its work due to the massive destruction in the city. More than 90% of the sewage network has been damaged by the battles that have taken place in the city, and it needs long time to be rehabilitated.

The Municipality was also provided with a sanitation compressor and it works to respond to the requests and services of the residents.

More than 100 unknown soldiers

As for the cleaners, they work hard to remove the waste from the main and secondary streets of the city, and there are more than 100 workers in the municipality in the cleaning section, and the municipality is working to increase the number of cleaners through competitions, due to population inflation because of the number of returnees to the city, 170 000 people.

Despite the population inflation in the city, however, the mechanisms in the municipality are 14 cars of Jake type and 7 tractors to remove the waste from the city and migrate it to the allocated places, and the municipality is increasing the number of garbage containers within the city to reduce the burden on the cleaners.

Price control and pavement work in the markets

Some of war merchants enter the materials in licensed cartons, but within them the materials are fake, the committee found large amounts of sweets and chips that expired, so the municipality confiscated and destroyed them.

Also the Supply Office is doing its regular rounds to control prices and control the quality of bread.

The Technical Department Committee also works to control violators who occupy sidewalks and public places, which everyone has the right to benefit from.

Rehabilitation of gardens

The Environment Office is working to rehabilitate parks, green facilities, main roads, landscaping and increase the green area of ​​the city.

There are 12 gardens in al-Raqqa city, the municipality cut and sold the dry part of the trees, while the logs are used by artists to draw antiques and artworks to mark the war that took place in the city.

The cost of rehabilitating the gardens amounted to approximately 10 million SP, and the rehabilitated gardens are "al-Rasheed Park, Amusement Park, al-Bustan Park, al-Bayda Park, 7 Nissan Park and al-Bajaa Park".

The People's Municipality in al-Raqqa is also working to remove the old asphalt and re-asphalt the street of Tel Abiyad, which is considered one of the most important streets in the city.
