KCK warned Iran: executions, attacks cannot resolve issues

The Joint Presidency of the Kurdistan Society System issued on Sunday a written statement on the Iranian regime's execution of the Kurdish political activists and its attack on Koy area of Başûr (South Kurdistan).

The text of the statement included,

"There is a large number of Kurds in Iran, but they are deprived of their rights, and there is no autonomous administration for the Kurds on the basis of freedom of identity, language and culture. Therefore, contradictions, problems and clashes between the Kurds and the Iranian state are ongoing. If the Kurdish Cause is not resolved, contradictions, clashes and problems would continue. The executions, attacks and pressure cannot resolve the issues, but on the contrary, they would make the things worse.

We have always stated that if issues are dealt with, evaluated according to the history of Iran's past experiences, and based on the foundations of Islam which recognizes the existence and freedom of diversity, issues will be resolved, namely the evaluation according to the values ​​of democracy, the specificity of the autonomous federalism in Iran's history and the formation of an autonomous administration, in which the Kurdish people would have  a democratic and free life, but the current administration, rather than relying on its political and social history and approaching according to equality that is one of the bases of Islam, is based on the national state that relies on capitalism and the logic of power. This is the reason for deepening the crisis and worsening the issues in Iran in addition to emerging other issues and problems in the Middle East.

The Iranian authorities, through the execution of young Kurds and the implementation of missile attacks, deepen the crisis and problems between the Kurdish people and the Iranian authorities. This complicates to reach a solution between the Iranian authorities and the Kurdish people on the basis of democratic agreements. If they cannot resolve the issues via battles, they must abandon their style to fight the Kurdish people and their political demanders. When the democratic rights of the Kurdish people are protected in accordance with the constitution and the law; then, the Kurdish Cause can be solved.

We must point out that by the execution, political attacks and the methods of burying crises and political and social issues, the way to solve the issues and crises in that state would be blocked. Therefore, we call on the Iranian authorities to stop their policies against the Kurdish people and the opposed political forces and solve the issues with the Kurds according to the democratic agreements and understandings. Once again, we say that if the Iranian authorities take steps in this context, we will also encourage the Kurdish people and the democratic political forces to solve the issues and problems.

We are confident that the will and hope of Sidari's martyrs who martyred in rocket attacks would be achieved with the freedom of Kurdistan, and the democracy of the Middle East. Therefore, we express our condolences to the families of the martyrs.”
