Primary outcome of Internal Security Forces' operation in al-Tabqa

The Internal Security Forces in al-Tabqa city noted that they were able to arrest dozens of mercenaries cells, who were involved in serious operations that would be implemented in the region, and praised the efforts of parents to cooperate with them, in a statement.

The Internal Security Forces in al-Tabqa city issued a statement in connection with the operation carried out by the forces to capture IS mercenaries cells .

The text of the statement:

"In accordance with the plan prepared by the Internal Security Forces' General Security Service to deter the plans belonging to the terrorist organization which were documented by intelligence sources, our security forces, with the support of the Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF), managed to arrest a number of members of these cells.

Our forces began to take part in their special operations at 5am on Friday, September 7, and are continuing until removing the cells. The areas of sweeping and investigating the impact of these cells in al-Tabqa and the countryside represented by al-Jerniya and al-Mansoura, the southern line of the Euphrates River adjacent to al-Raqqa city al-Akirishi village.

According to the supervisor of security operations, they arrested dozens of those terrorists who were confirmed to be involved in dangerous operations that would have been carried out in the region.

It is worth mentioning that the citizens have given their support to abide by the security and precautionary decisions which contributed positively to the progress of our operations and to provide an environment of cooperation and coordination. "
