17 Turkish soldiers killed in HPG's operations

The Popular Defense Forces (HPG) announced in a statement the killing of 17 elements of the Turkish occupation army in the operations carried out by their forces in both of Colemêrg and Êlih. The statement also revealed the record of a fighter of HPG martyred during the operations.

HPG's Media Center issued a statement on the series of operations carried out by the Guerrilla Forces in Colemêrg and Êlih. The statement pointed out that the operations resulted in the destruction of a military vehicle and the killing of at least 17 elements of the Turkish occupation army.

The statement included,

"In the context of the revolutionary campaign of the Martyrs Pîroz and Agirî, our forces carried out on September 4 at 17:30 an operation against the elements of the Turkish occupation army who are stationed on Elîşêr hill in Gever district of Colemêrg where the sites and fortifications of the enemy were destroyed and two elements of the Turkish occupation army were killed in this operation.

On September 4 at 08:30 our forces targeted a military vehicle on the road between Deştan valley and Şundir hill of Celê district. The operation resulted in destroying the vehicle completely and killing 6 elements of the enemy army.

On August 31 at 3:30, our forces carried out an operation against a hidden unit of the Turkish occupation army and dealt the enemy close strikes. The operation resulted in killing 9 soldiers of the Turkish occupation army and their death was confirmed. In this operation, our comrade Arkesh got wounded seriously after a heroic fighting and martyred.

On September 4 between 15:00 and 17:00 the Turkish occupation army shelled the legitimate defense zones using aircrafts and the shelling resulted in breaking out fires in the area.

These attacks, in which many warplanes were used by the Turkish occupation army did not achieve any result and did not cause us any losses. The Turkish state is trying to spread lies via media outlets by saying that its attacks are achieving its objectives and these pieces of news are baseless, but the aim is to deceive the public opinion."
