Responding to residents, maintenance of roads in Girkê Legê

The People's Municipality in Girkê Legê district of Derik area began a campaign to patch roads damaged by weather and construction works last weekend in response to the demands of the residents to solve the problem of excavations located in the main and secondary streets in the district.

The technical workshops have been working for two days in the southern sector of the town. According to a member of the technical office in the People's Municipality, Alaa Ali, supervising the project that initially 950 cubic meters are allocated of asphalt for the road-paving project

Alaa pointed out that the technical workshops started with the maintenance of the fair main street in Girkê Legê in order to design and decorate it to give aesthetic to the town.

The Co-chair of the People's Municipality in Girkê Legê, Sulaiman Hasan, said that the cost of the project to maintain and fix the streets of the town is estimated at 15 million SP, after a study conducted by the municipality's technical office.

It is scheduled that the People's Municipality will asphalt the damaged roads in the center of the town with a length of 15 km in the coming weeks.
