Intellectuals of Afrin: Turkey turned Afrin to chaos epicenter

On18 September, the occupation of the Turkish army and its terrorist mercenaries to Afrin canton enters its sixth month, when the people came out forcibly from their homes to al-Shahba canton seeking for safer place and from that date to the present day, Afrin is witnessing the worst kinds of violations and abuses against human values ​​and morality.

The plastic painter Ardalan Ibrahim said by a meeting with ANHA agency, "the Turkish occupation army and its terrorist mercenaries, with the approval and international conspiracy, launched the violent attack on Afrin, these attacks were an attempt to strike at the democratic project dictated by the peoples' unity and brotherhood in the face of dictatorial regimes, seeking of their personal interests within Syrian territory. The

He said "The participation of the peoples of North Syria and parts of Kurdistan gave it another meaning of victory and struggle and made the whole world stand in front of this revolution and resistance.

Ibrahim pointed out that the targeting of the Turkish occupation from the first day until the present time of archaeological sites and holy places reveals his intentions to destroy and loot the history of the area and change its demography and distort the truth.

At the end of his speech, he has held the international community and the human rights bodies responsible for the violations against the people of Afrin trapped in al-Shahba canton. He said, "What is happening in Afrin reveals the truth of those who call themselves human rights organizations because Turkey turned Afrin into the biggest chaos and corruption epicenter".

In the same context, the artist Mohammed Walid denounced the occupation of Turkey to Afrin and pointed out that Afrin was one of the most beautiful cities, safe and stable and the most organized, during Rojava Revolution it has reached to the highest levels of development and progress and it was headed towards a better level in all aspects of life.

Walid pointed out that this did not suit the hostile countries of Rojava revolution, it   wanted of the occupation of Afrin to thwart the future project, which was the solution to Syria, the Turkish occupation had committed with its barbaric aircraft massacres against the people and remains are still existing in the canton inside the rubble without a hint from the world.

Walid mentioned the situation of the displaced people in the camps of Afrin and al-Shahba whom living in the villages and towns of al-Shahba. He said: "All the residents were displaced without bringing any of their belongings, they had left leaving behind them everything they own, and despite the daily appeals of the residents to provide medical and food aid to them, but the international and humanitarian organizations remain silent and stand handy by without initiatives to help."

The artist called on the intellectuals of the world and the international community to carry out their duties and responsibilities towards the people of Afrin whom trapped at the mercy of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries terrorists and raise the right voice to remove Turkey from Afrin and the return of the people safely to their homes.
