YPG: 57 Turkish elements, mercenaries killed within August

The Media Center of YPG and YPJ revealed the outcomes of their operations carried out against the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries during a statement.  

The text of the statement included,

During August, YPG and YPJ carried out their duties protecting the lands and the people of the area and the revolution's gains in all Rojava and North Syria’s geography. They also continued dealing the Turkish occupation army with heavy blows and carrying out the special military operations against them. 

The statistics of military operations of August is,

On August 18, our forces carried out different military operations; bombing, snapping, ambushing and engaging into the clashes against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries and the outcomes are as following,

- 57 Turkish soldiers and mercenaries were killed among them 7 soldiers and 2 commanders of the mercenaries.

- 40 mercenaries and soldiers of Turkish occupation army got wounded.

- During those operations, 5 weapons of AK,47 kind and other 2 guns were seized.

- 4 military vehicles and 3 motorcycles were destroyed and 2 military vehicles were damaged.

The outcome of any operation has not been known.

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries carried out 4 combing campaigns and thousands of Turkish occupation soldiers and mercenaries participated in the campaigns with the support of the drones where those operations ended without any outcomes.   

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries targeted 2 times the civilians directly in Serê Kanîyê where 2 civilians were wounded and our forces responded to the attacks directly.

During August, 2 fighters of our forces were martyred in the resistance against the Turkish occupation army in Afrin and 4 martyred as a result of illness and different accidents.

We pledge to continue the resistance against the Turkish occupation army and all those who are targeting our people’s gains which were achieved by the great sacrifices of YPG and YPJ, and we pledge to continue the special military operations.
