3 officers, 2 soldiers killed in Guerilla operation

The Popular Defense Forces (HPG) said that their forces carried out an operation in Nesibin city in Bakur (North Kurdistan), destroying a military vehicle and killing two soldiers and three officers of the Turkish occupation.

The Media Center of HPG issued a statement to the public opinion on Sunday, revealing the outcomes of an operation carried out Nesibin city.

The statement included:

"In the framework of the revolutionary campaign launched in the name of the Martyr Delal Amed and Basta Martyrs, our forces carried out an operation against a military convoy of the Turkish occupation army on the road of Gernavas that is located in Beraktah neighborhood in Nesibin district of Merdin city on August 31 at 10:30 am.

The operation resulted in destroying a military vehicle of Ejder kind and wreaking other two vehicles. In addition to that, two soldiers and three officers were killed and other seven soldiers were seriously injured.

The Turkish occupation brought the ambulance, and took the bodies of the killed and wounded after the operation. The Turkish occupation which was dealt strong blows is now launching an attack on the area."
