The final statement of TEV-DEM's 3rd conference was read by the spokesman of the Diplomatic Relations Center in TEV-DEM Kemal Akef.

The full text of the final statement:

TEV-DEM held its third conference on  August 27,2018 in Rumailan  town under the slogan Under the slogan "By the Free Organized Society, We Guarantee the Victory," TEV-DEM held its third conference on August 27, 2018 in Rumailan with the participation of 500 members from all the institutions, organizations and bodies of the Movement, and guests from North and East Syria, the representatives of Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) and its forces, Kurdish and Syrian political parties, dozens of institutions, jurist and civil bodies, clans' notables and the social activities that expressed through their telegrams their solidarity with the struggle of our Movement in this accurate stage in Syria, the Middle East and the world together with whoever represents the will of other components in Rojava, North and East Syria in the framework of achieving the model of the Democratic Autonomous Administration which has been activated for more than four years. It also praised the correct policies and attitudes adopted by TEV-DEM, especially with regard to the advanced diagnosis and the solutions provided to solve the Syrian crisis, and by finding a just and democratic solution to the Kurdish Cause in Syria and the area.

After holding a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs, the conference's works were launched by the joint administration of al-Jazeera region. That was followed by the speech of the Joint Presidency of TEV-DEM. The conference continued its deliberations and read and discussed in depth the directives and instructions related to the national and democratic policy, as well as the general report of the Executive Body, in addition to reading the charter and the internal rules and making amendments after discussing and evaluating them.

The participants assessed that the adoption of our democratic nation's philosophy has made it a distinct line that is the third line taken since the beginning of the crisis and the Syrian battle. Our vision of the Syrian crisis and the Middle East has been proved to everybody from the beginning. Our choice of the third line is through the establishment of a Syrian democratic project that meets the aspirations of all the components of the Syrian people as to be on its ideal model of the Democratic Autonomous Administration. The conference also assessed the organizational and political necessities that require the transformation in the structure of TEV-DEM into a framework and umbrella for civil society institutions, and that the third field or the arena of civil society in which TEV-DEM is based emphasizes the struggle to achieve a group of social values ​​and ideas and the voluntary and charitable practices in addition to protecting the social categories that are head towards building the solid foundations of the democratic system, accepting the private and public interests, the guaranteeing monitor of the rights and accepting the difference and social diversity.

The conference also adopted a number of organizational decisions that confirm the determination of our Movement to continue implementing its strategies as an effective institutional movement with a broad public base in Rojava and North Syria, in which women and youths take their leading role. The Movement is moving towards a strategy to limit the migration from Kurdistan which is a threat to the components of Mesopotamia in general and the Kurdish people in particular, and it will work by all democratic means for their return. The conference also stressed once again the need for the necessary to hold the Kurdistan Patriotic Union at this sensitive stage which requires the unity of the Kurdish class in Rojava and put the differences aside. The conference stressed the need to continue the struggle by all means until all the decisions of Afrin Liberation Conference held in al-Shahba would be achieved and the first of which is a secure and stable return to the people of Afrin in addition to liberating it completely.

Finally, the members of the conference elected both Zelal Jiger and Gharib Hasso to be the co-chairs of the Movement and 64 members for the party's Administrative Council, including 32 women. The co-chair of the party, the members of the Administrative Council and the members of the conference pledged to move forward in the path of struggle that the martyrs of Rojava's components and North of Syria followed until the goals that they were martyred for would be achieved.
