Kurdish Red Crescent ended another training course in al-Shahba

During the 45-day course, the trainees received a course on the basics of nursery and first aid such as burns, breathing, taking blood pressure, wounds and others under the supervision of specialized doctors.

On the importance of training and its aim, the director of the Kurdish Red Crescent the pharmacist Akram Arab said, "After we left Afrin and went to al-Shahba due to the Turkish aggression, we wanted to continue our work to serve our people in the difficult conditions that they are passing through. Initially, we opened a center of the Red Crescent in al-Shahba, and then, we managed to work to establish five points in each of Ahras, Fafin, Tel Refaat, Om al-Hosh and Tel Qerah in al-Shahba canton. As a result of expanding work and the increasing need of the people for medical and emergency services, we initiated to open the first training course for 60 member as they were distributed to the centers, and as a result of the need for other nursing staff, the second training course opened 45 days before, and we finished the training of 14 trainees on Monday."

Akram pointed out that in order to protect the residents of Afrin who are residing in the camps from diseases, they launched a clean campaign that included the camps and all the areas inhabited by the residents to prevent the spread of diseases.

At the end of his speech, Akram appealed to all humanitarian and health organizations in the world to look into the situation of the residents of Afrin living in al-Shahba and to provide the necessary medical support to them, in addition to the need of the Kurdish Red Crescent points to medical devices and equipment.
