Al-Hasakah people demand rehabilitation al-Khashman roundabout

The roundabout of the Khashman neighborhood in one of  al-Hasakah's neighborhood was exposed to much destruction by its use by the regime as a point at the beginning of the Syrian crisis. It was a key point used by the Syrian regime to attack Kurdish neighborhoods.

The roundabout is one of the most important sites in al-Hasakah city because there are several roads leading to it, including al-Hizam Road, Tel- Barak, Holl town and Deir ez-Zor city, and is considered the front of al-Hasakah city.

After liberating al-Hasakah city by the People (YPG) and Women Protection Units (YPJ) and establishing checkpoint there, the checkpoint was exposed to numerous attacks by mercenaries in order to enter the city's neighborhoods. They also detonated a tank loaded with explosives and large numbers of civilians were martyred  due to of this attack

In this regard,  Hawar news agency ANHA interviewed with many residents of the neighborhood who expressed their desire to restore the roundabout’s splendor and remove all the negative effects left behind of the clashes.

Ali Saadoun, a resident of Khashman neighborhood said, "The roundabout has been destroyed since the regime held the city where it was used it as a site for its weapons. This roundabout is considered the most important in al-Hasakah city because of the roads leading to it, such as al- Shadadi and Tel- Barak roads."

For her part, Wadad Ismail hoped that some trees would be planted and lighted in the roundabout to be a beautiful facade for al-Hasakah city

In order to know the response of the People's Municipality to the demands of the people, the camera of ANHA went to the technical department in the Eastern People's Municipality in al- Hasakah city, where the workers in the department indicated that they will study the parents' request.
