Spraying pesticides to prevent epidemics’ spread in al-Raqqa

Weqaya (Precaution) Association launched in coordination with al-Raqqa Civil Council a campaign to spray pesticides within the parks and main streets. This step comes to preserve the safety of the civilians, especially the children from epidemics.

Under the slogan "Hand in Hand to Get a Safe and Clean al-Raqqa, Weqaya Association in coordination with al-Raqqa Civil Council started a work which is the first of its kind in al-Raqqa city which is spraying insecticides of all kinds.

The spraying operation was monitored and supervised by the Health Committee. The spraying campaign included most of the crowded parks.

The campaign was launched from al-Rasheed Park that is located in al-Raqqa city to al-Bestan Park, one of the crowded parks. The campaign also included all private and public facilities in al-Raqqa city.

Mohammed Jassem al-Abed, a member of Weqaya Association said, "We are working to ensure a good environment free of pandemics. Now, the public places have been sprayed, and in the coming period, we will spray the houses."

The campaign also included distributing leaflets to the citizens.
