Riham Hejo: Iraqi government colludes, People must revolt

The co-chair of Şengal Council Riham Hejo said that the Iraqi authorities' refusal to allow northern Syria people to access Şengal is a proof of their complicity in the attack on Şengal, calling on the Kurds in all parts of Kurdistan and the world to revolt against the policies and plots against the Yazidi community.

In a statement to ANHA agency, Riham noted, "Since ancient times, the people of North Syria, especially after the massacre committed against the Yazidi community in August 3, 2014, stand beside the people of Şengal, and today, they also confirm their solidarity with the people of Şengal by coming to Şengal to participate in the funeral of Mam Zeki Şengali.

Riham Hejo noted that the Iraqi authorities’ prevention the people of North Syria from reaching Şengal to participate in the funeral confirms that the Iraqi government is involved in the attack on Şengal, and said in this context, "The Iraqi government by preventing the people of northern Syria to cross and continue their march towards Şengal showed its complicity with the Turkish occupation in its attack on Şengal, and therefore, she condemned all the positions and policies that are hostile to the Yazidi community and the peoples of the area.”

At the end of her statement to ANHA, Riham Hejo said, "The Kurdish people in the four parts of Kurdistan and the world must revolt and demonstrate in the streets against the policies and conspiracies that are being waged against the Yazidi community."
