"Joining together is shield against attacks"

The despotic regimes and the capitalist forces headed by the Turkish occupation state are targeting the four parts of Kurdistan, attacking all the areas and occupying parts of them. In this regard, ANHA agency met with the Kurdish poet Shiraz Hamo.

Shiraz Hamo noted that the violations of the hostile parties against the Kurdish people are increasing as the pace of the struggle, demand freedom and the establishment of a democratic society based on the foundations of peoples' brotherhood and co-existence increases.

Shiraz Hamo pointed out that the enemies of the peoples headed by the Turkish state at the current period make conspiracies, launch various attacks on Kurdistan and want with all ways to exterminate the people and erase their history and culture.

Shiraz Hamo noted that the people in the four parts of Kurdistan must be wary of the schemes and plots of the peoples’ enemies because we must not wait for receiving support from the enemies of the democratic project.

Shiraz pointed out that in all the battles and attacks launched on Kurdistan and other areas, women were and are still the victim and destination of the fighting forces in an indication to weakening the entire society as women are the main force in the societies.

Shiraz Hamo continued, "In order to confront and stand with determination in the face of these attacks and schemes, Kurdish women must join together and organize themselves according to the requirements of the stage because the unity of women will be the shield to repel and stand against these attacks."

At the end of her speech, Shiraz highlighted the importance of the role of the educated group within this sensitive stage. She said, "Kurdistan is going through critical, sensitive and important stages, and we must realize this so the intellectuals must be well aware to document, define and analyze these facts. This is a national duty above all."
