The martyr Shiyar Soufi's mother, Wahiba Mohamed, explained that the martyr Shiyar after reaching the age of 20 years refused to live as a normal person within the community and joined the ranks of the Freedom Movement for his faith in the cause of his people and to lift injustice and oppression for all the oppressed.

Martyrs Families Council in Qamishlo canton organized absentia ceremony for the martyr Shiyar Soufi, the real name Nur al-Din Muhammad, who was martyred in Botan area of Bakur "northern Kurdistan", as a result of the Turkish aggression on Defense Legitimate Areas on August7.

Martyrs Families Council in Qamishlo canton mounted a condolence tent of the martyr within the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement in front of the house of his family in al-Hilaliya neighborhood and decorated the tent with the pictures of martyrs and flags of People and Women Protection Units(YPG and YPJ).

Hundreds of people from Qamishlo, YPG and YPJ fighters, the Self-Defense Forces, Asayiş Forces and civil and service institutions in the canton participated in the funeral.

The ceremony began with a military parade by fighters of YPG and YPJ. Then the commander of YPG, Luqman Khalil said that the Kurdish people are preparing to celebrate the August 15 Leap, the day when the Kurdistan Freedom Movement declared the first spark of the revolution of freedom against the injustice and oppression that was practiced against the Kurdish people by the colonial powers.
