Operations in Afrin, mercenary commander killed

The media center of the People Protection Units (YPG) stated in a statement that their units continue their military operations against the Turkish soldiers and mercenaries in the districts of Afrin canton, and confirmed that one of the commanders of the mercenaries was killed by a bomb exploded in Mobata.

The media center of YPG published a statement to the public opinion on its official website confirming that their units carried out a series of military operations in the districts of Afrin during the second week of August.

To the public opinion:

"During the second phase of the Resistance of the Age in Afrin area, the resistance of our units continues against the Turkish occupation soldiers and its mercenaries in the area as during the second week of August, our units carried out a series of operations in the villages of Shera and Mobata districts, killing a number of the Turkish soldiers and mercenaries.

On August 8, the mercenary commander Abdul Razaq al-Bakour was killed after several days of being seriously injured by a bomb exploded in Mobata district.

On August 11 in the evening, our units blasted a motorbike during a joint round of the Turkish army and its mercenaries on the road leading to Kafer Jana village of Shera district as a Turkish soldier was killed and another was wounded in addition to the killing of an unknown number of the mercenaries."
