Guerilla operations, 2 Turkish elements killed

The media center of the Popular Defense Forces (HPG) issued on Thursday a statement to the public opinion in which it revealed the outcomes of the forces’ operations in Bakur Kurdistan.

“"Within the revolutionary campaign launched in the name of the Martyr Delal and Basta Martyrs, our forces carried out a sniper operation on Şerefiyê hill in Şirnex city on August 7 at 7:30 am. The operation resulted in killing a soldier of the Turkish occupation army.

In the framework of a revolutionary campaign, our forces carried out an operation near Deywan village on the narrow road that leads to Ilisûyê Dam in Şirnex city on 28 July at 22:30. Our forces dealt the Turkish occupation’s positions harsh blows, and they managed to block the narrow road that leads to the dam. Then, the Turkish occupation army launched an attack on the area. On August 1, the attack failed without reaching a result.

On August 5 at 20:30, our forces killed the Turkish Contra’s element Ahmed Nabi near Melkan village in Sanjak town in Çewlik city. Our forces also seized his pistol.

On August5, the Turkish occupation army launched an attack on the area near Darlitepe village in Çewlik city using drones. On August 6, direct clashes broke out between our forces and a military unit of the Turkish occupation army. After resistance made by our forces, the occupation brought Cobra helicopters and used them in the attack. The Turkish army withdrew from the area on the same day at noon. As for the attack, more information will be published later.

On August 8 between 18:30 and 19:00, the Turkish occupation army’s warplanes bombarded Şer hill in Qandil area of ​​the lawful defense zones (Medya).
