SDF revealed important outcomes about al-Deshisha campaign

The General Command of SDF issued a statement to the public opinion, in which it pointed to the outcomes of al-Dashisha liberation campaign that is located in the southern countryside of al-Hasaka from IS mercenaries.

The statement included,

“We started our campaign to liberate al-Deshisha town in June 3, and it came within completing and securing the Syrian-Iraqi borders and to liberate the whole countryside of al-Hasaka governorate from the terrorist organization’s existence. That was planned for in coordination with the Iraqi forces and the Global Alliance forces.

The campaign launched from al-Shadadi and al-Hol axes, and liberated territories with a space of 71,360 km and a length of 191 km along the Iraqi borders including al-Deshisha strategic city and its villages completely, the villages related to al-Sor and Merkeda towns within al-Khabour River, Tel Safouk crossing, and Our forces met the Iraqi forces on the border and the entire desert of Deir ez-Zor was liberated.

Our forces managed to liberate hundreds of civilians in its surrounding villages, taking out hundreds of the civilians who were stuck to these villages in addition to getting them away from the clashes’ areas. Moreover, the villages were full of mines and bombs that were planted by IS terrorists to obstruct the fighters’ progression as the military engineering units of our forces dismantled them. The fighters also found trenches that have been removed militarily.

The Global Alliance forces participated effectively in the battles by air and land as dozens of the aerial raids targeted the terrorists’ movements. The forces also targeted their fortifications with heavy artillery shelling and carried out missile attacks using land-land rockets.

Our forces also clashed with the terrorists directly, and fierce battles broke out in which heavy and medium weapons were used. The terrorists attempted to use bombs. During the battles and clashes erupted in both axes, our fighters managed to kill 418 terrorists among them 16 Amirs and captured 29 others.

Our forces also seized weapons and ammunition that IS mercenaries used to use them,

Vehicles: 3 Hummer, 5 Toyota, 15 Kia, 4 Hyundai, 7 tanks, 2 huge trucks, 4 Asso and Antar vehicles, 1 tanks’ loader, 1 truck, 2 Pickup, 1 tractor, and a generator.

Weapons and ammunition: 307 Kalashnikovs, 3 M16 guns, 4 Brno, 20 RPG, 22 PKC, 2 Dushkas of caliber 23, 2 Dushkas of 14.5, 8 Dushkas of 12.5, 1 Grad missile, 1 SPG cannon, 2 mortars of 120, 4 mortar slides, 10 mortar bases, 6 Bombaction guns, 10,000 PKC bullets, 6,000 Dushka bullets of 12.5, 6,000 Dushka bullets of 14.5, 40 Kalashnikov patches, 40 RPG launchers, 20 SPG launchers, 7 various pistols, 4 silencers, a big amount of sonic triggers, an amount of M16 weapon’s bullets, a big amount of mines, an amount of tracks with PKC bullets and hand grenades.

Communication devices: Rola (3), Hitra (55), walki-talki (31), cameras (2), wall camera with cables (5), laptop (3), Modem News (1), a number of small cameras, mobiles specialized to bombs (6), bombs’ battery (1,440) and a big amount of medicine.”

Furthermore, 4 fighters martyred and other 22 got wounded during the battles broke out between our fighters and IS mercenaries.
