Turkish violations in Afrin during July

The Turkish occupation continues violations against Afrin canton residents and nature as it committed many violations even killed civilians under false pretexts. In this context, the Turkish occupation kidnapped during the last month 126 civilians and killed other 13. In addition to that, the occupation burnt thousands of hectors of the forest lands, that last of which was Hawar Mountain.

The statistics that has been disclosed by the residents to ANHA agency made clear that the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries have burnt about 41 hectors cultivated with grains and 4,970 olive, almond and fig trees in the surrounding of Soxanakê village in Sherawa district since about a month, while the inhabitants cannot do anything.

A source stated that a gang of the Turkish occupation army’s mercenaries (Prophet’s Grandsons Battalion) kidnapped the citizens Hussein Omer Karo who is at 50, Ahmed Alo whose age is 45 and Ghassan Omer Fawzi and his wife from Badina town in Rajo when they raided the residents’ houses in the midnight and stole their jewelry and money, assuring that they have been taken to anonymous destination.

The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation army kidnapped 3 civilians from Belilka village in Rajo district, and they are Saeed Ahmed, Amir Mohammed Noor and Kolkol Mamo. They also hit the people of the village and looted what they had in their pockets of money. The mercenaries of the so-called Faylaq al-Sham Battalion that is related to the Turkish occupation army have kidnapped the young man Agid Hassen Suleiman who is 25 years old from Baziye village since days from his house.

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries kidnapped 4 citizens from Mosaka village in Rajo district in Afrin canton. The kidnapped are Saeed Hussein Moses who is at 60, Khalid Hussein Mostafa who is 47 years old with his car, Anwar Ali Muslim who is at 26 and Salah Ali Battal whose age is 23.

 The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries kidnapped 3 civilians from Mosaka village in Rajo area. The kidnapped are Omer Hussein Aliko who is at 33, Agid Mohammed Derdo who is 28 years old and Mohammed Hassen Mohammed Derod whose age is 22.

From the side of Janders district, the Turkish occupation army kidnapped the citizen Abu Rody and his wife Shemiran and Mostafa Diyan.

In Janders district, the Turkish occupation army kidnapped 8 civilians, and they are Mostafa Hasaka who is at 60, Nihad Hasaka who is 58 years old, Walid Hassin who is at 54, Abdu Khalil Abdi who is at 42, Badri Halabi who is at 40 and Khalil Mukhtar Ismael who is 28 years old.

In the same district, the mercenaries of Faylaq al-Sham kidnapped 5 civilians from Janders district in Afrin canton. A source disclosed the names of the kidnaped which are Mohammed Sheikh Nassan who is at 51, Mahmoud Sheikh Nassan who is at 45, Farid Walid Hussein whose age is 22, Mohammed Hajj Youssef who is 55 years old and Mostafa Aziz Sheikh Haydar who is at 40.

According to a source from inside Afrin, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries kidnaped the old man Shahin Baghdadi who is at 62 in Janders district, and he is the father of 4 young men and 4 girls without knowing the reasons of kidnapping.

They also kidnapped the citizen Amer Fayeq who is at 40 and his wife Shaziya Mostafa who is at 35, and they are from Amara village in Mobata district. A source from Mobata district stated that the mercenaries of the so-called al-Jabha al-Shamiya and the Third Division related to the Turkish occupation army intended to kidnap 12 citizens from Mirkan village. According to the source, the kidnapped are Shukri Mohammed Kenj Khamis who is at 55, Hanif Mahmoud Mostafa who is at 60, Khalil Husni Hamdi who is at 43, Mohammed Khalil Nory whose age is 49, Refat Izzat Sino who is at 40, Rashid Abdu Sheikho who is at 45, Hikmat Kanj Khamis who is 58 years old, Mostafa Ahmed Suleiman who is at 56 and Mohammed Hussein Hamaliko who is at 48 with his two children; Hussein Hamaliko who is at 20 and Khamkin Hamaliko who is 18 years old.

The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation army kidnapped 10 citizens from Kobakê village in Mobata district, and the kidnapped are Mohammed Noor Ibrahim who is at 55, Ayanet Hamo bin Hannan who is at 55, Mannan Ayanet Hamo who is at 30, Hassen Hamo bin Rashad who is 46 years old, Mostafa Mohammed Suleiman who is at 43, Fadel Hassen Yasin who is at 31, Kanjo Hassen bin Mukhtar who is 55 years old, Mostafa Hassen bin Sheikho who is at 30, Abdin Hassen bin Mukhtar who is at 58 and Kelkel Hamo bin Hannan whose age is 51.

The Turkish occupation army and mercenaries kidnapped 8 citizens from Mobata district among them a girl, and some of them have been known who are Fatima Assaad Ramadan who is at 22 and her father Assaad Mohammed Ramadan who is 50 years old.

The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation army have kidnapped 3 citizens for the 3rd time, and they are Mahmoud Rashid Hassoun who is at 32 from Ali Jara village, Abdullah Aref who is at 45 and Hamid Khalil Ibo whose age is 40 from Raja village.

In Bulbul district, al-Hamzat Battalion that is related to the Turkish occupation army kidnapped the citizen Hannan Mahmoud who is at 36 from Qere Kolê village, and he was taken to Kills state in Turkey under the pretense that he was holding a weapon.

In Sherawa district, the fate of 4 citizens who have been kidnapped by the Turkish mercenaries is still unknown. The 4 citizens are Hoshang Khalid, Khalid Khalil, Rezgar Omer and Massoud Omer from Basuta village.

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries also kidnaped the popular artist Hassen Abdu from his village Kabashin in Sherawa district, and his fate is still anonymous.

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries kidnapped 9 civilians from Baya village in Sherawa district while they were combing the village. The civilians are Izzat Bahri who is at 60, Jamal Bahri who is 53 years old, Mohammed Izzat who is at 37, Aziz Othman Sheikh Ali who is at 44, Hadi Adnan Othman who is 26 years old, Omer Ahmed Sheikh Ali whose age is 45, Ahmed Mahmoud who is at 47, Hussein Omer Alloush who is at 52 and Mohammed Mostafa Mesto whose age is 54.

The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation army who dominate al-Ashrafiya neighborhood kidnapped the citizen Mahmoud Sheikh Ibrahim who is at 36 and took him to an anonymous destination.

According to sources, the mercenaries are kidnapping the residents under false pretenses and demanding huge ransoms of money to release them, in addition to exposing them to the worst kinds of torture and offense.

On the other hand, the clashes among the mercenary factions continue within Afrin canton because of sharing the civilians’ possessions that they have stolen.

During the last month, the Turkish occupation army issued identities of foreign references for the native residents of Afrin, and according to this identity, the native population of Afrin would be considered refugees to the Turkish occupation. A source noted that the occupation obliges the people to restore to the center of the Legislative Council previously to take their ID, and whoever rejects would be threatened of weapon or to burn their home.

In addition to killing, kidnapping and looting operations, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries continue their violations through burning the forest and agricultural lands, and the trees of olive, pomegranate, and grapes.

The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation army burnt the forest trees in al-Nashama valley (Keli Tira) whose space is about 2 hectors, and it is located on the road led to Rajo area. In addition to that, the mercenaries set fire on about 2,500 olive, pomegranate and grapes trees in the agricultural lands that belong to the residents of Adama village in Rajo area on the road led to Midan Akbas village.

A source noted that the olive trees that have been burnt belong to Mohammed Othman Salem (100 trees), Ragab Othman Salem (100 trees), Suleiman Mohammed Mohammed (100 trees), Walid Mohammed Mohammed (100 trees), Mohammed Hassen Ismael (100 trees) and Yehya Rashid Mostafa (300 trees) in addition to burning 1,500 pomegranate trees and 300 grapes trees that belong to the citizen Mohammed Bakir Sheikh Dada.

The source assured that the mercenaries also burnt 800 meters of agricultural irrigation hoses that belong to the citizen Abdel Rahman Ismael from Altaniya village after the mercenaries looted his wheat crop and send it to Turkey.  

In addition to that, the mercenaries set fire to the agricultural lands that are extended at a space of 4 km from the western side of Atmana village in Rajo area including oak and olive trees. A source noted that the occupation and its mercenaries have started since a week to uproot many olive trees in Sewiya village from the northern side that overlooks Badina district near the forests located in the village.

The bombardment of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries with missiles against Bênê village in Sherawa district resulted in breaking fire in the agricultural lands.

The Turkish occupation army also set fire to Hawar Mountain in July 23 that led to burning vast spaces of it. Furthermore, Hawar Mountain is considered the most famous mountain in the area.

Sources from inside Afrin noted that the Turkish occupation burnt 21 families’ houses in Afrin as the Turkish occupation, when occupied Afrin, determined houses with red marks and then burnt them.

Sources from Afrin said to Hawar news agency that Janders district’s people got out from their homes heading towards al-Shahba area where thousands of Afrin people are existed due to the mercenaries’ violations, while the Turkish occupation did not allow them to pass.

During a phone call of a person from Sherawa district who preferred to not mention his name with ANHA reporter, he said that they are not able to exit their homes and that they even cannot go to the neighboring villages describing the place as a big prison.

It is worth mentioning that the Amnesty International published a report stating that Turkey’s occupation of Afrin increases the suffering of Afrin people, and that Ankara commits serious violations against human rights.
