"Through dialogue, we reach solutions"

The Intellectuals Union Center of al-Jazeera canton-Girkê Legê branch organized a lecture entitled "Culture of Dialogue" and given by the professor and writer Mohamed Ghanash. The lecture was attended by dozens of intellectuals and representatives of the political parties in the town.

Ghanash opened the lecture on the positive culture of dialogue and its importance to reach solutions and understanding in addition to reaching democratic values ​​among the members of the society.

Ghanash referred to the decline of methods of dialogue between the Arab society and the Middle East in general, and gave examples during the television interventions that occur between politicians and intellectuals to discuss various topics, especially political ones, and said, "Each party insists that its point of view is true without accepting the opinion of the other to reach the stage of argument between the two parties and get out of the etiquette of talk and dialogue."

Ghanash pointed out that the correct dialogue is based on accepting the opinion of the other in the discussion or negotiating on a subject regardless of different views of the other.

At the end of the lecture, the discussion was opened to the audience. They discussed ways and means of consolidating the culture of dialogue among the members of the society and how to avoid those obstacles to build a new generation based on democratic foundations.
