Electricity transformer of Ain Issa illuminated district

The Electricity Committee in Ain Issa district of Girê Spî canton has completed the maintenance work of the transformer which feeds the district and its countryside with electricity.

The 10-megawatt transformer has been in disrepair for nearly 20 days, causing electricity to be cut off from Ain Issa.

During the period of cut off, the district was supplied with electricity from Girê Spî / Tal Abyad power station as an emergency solution until the aforementioned transformer is repaired.

According to the Electricity Committee in the district, it will work to repair the second transformer with 10 megawatt, which was disabled, and left as a spare for use in the event of failure of the first transformer.

It is worth noting that since its establishment in 2003, Ain Issa power station has been operating 20 megawatts with two power transformers of 10 megawatts. The second transformer could not be operated because of sabotage operation.

The electricity is fed in Ain Issa district of ​​al-Ferosia power station in al-Raqqa, through a voltage line 66 relative to capacity of 66 Mv.
