Large clean-up campaign launched in Deir ez-Zor countryside

Deir ez-Zor Civil Council held a meeting today at its headquarters in al-Kasra in cooperation with the Euphrates Organization for Relief and Development. They agreed to launch a clean-up campaign including Deir ez-Zor countryside which is liberated by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and will last for about 5 months.

The meeting was attended by the members of the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council, the two co-chairs of the council and representatives of the Euphrates Organization to launch a clean-up campaign aimed at restoring the beauty of the area.

The meeting began with holding a minute of silence followed by delivering a speech by the co-chair of Deir ez-Zor Civil Council, Ghassan al-Yousef, indicating the cost of the campaign, its goals and objectives, and the issues that necessitated the campaign aimed at restoring the area's aesthetic and providing a civilized view of the area.

The campaign is scheduled to continue for a period of 5 months until the area is cleared of rubble and waste.

The cost of the campaign is estimated at 282 thousand dollars, and in turn will provide jobs for the people of the area of "cleaners and machineries."

It is noteworthy that the campaign is also aimed at distributing guidance to the people of the area to keep the environment clean and not to throw dirt and waste into public places.
