At least 12 Turkish soldiers, mercenaries have been killed in Afrin

The People's Protection Units pointed out that their units carried out a series of operations against the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries in Afrin, killing at least 12 soldiers and mercenaries.

The media center of the People's Protection Units (YPG) issued on Tuesday a written statement to the public opinion in which it revealed the outcome of the operations carried out by their units against the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries in Afrin, within the framework of the second phase of the Resistance of the Age

The text of the statement:

"Our units continue to carry out military operations against the Turkish state's mercenaries and soldiers in the framework of the second phase of the Resistance of the Age in Afrin area, where our units carried out during the second week of July a series of qualitative military operations against the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries in a number of villages and areas of Afrin, these processes are as follows:

On 11/07/2018, a landmine planted by our forces on a military road used by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries exploded in Basilê village of Şera district, with a Turkish military vehicle type ZIL, 8 Turkish soldiers were killed, including two lieutenants and one captain was injured.

On 13/07/2018, our units detonated an explosive device under control by car carrying Turkish elements and mercenaries of al-Hamza gang in Kîmarê village, where a Turkish soldier and two mercenaries of al-Hamza gangs were killed in addition to the wounding of another Turkish soldier.

On 14/07/2018, our units detonated an explosive device with a military vehicle carrying the mercenaries of al-Hamzah gang "al-Basrawi gang", four of the mercenaries were wounded, some of them seriously.

On 15/07/2018, one of the leaders of the mercenaries of al-Sham Brigade, Muhammad Abu Humaid, was ambushed by our units on the road between the village of Qitmê and Afrin, where the mercenary was killed immediately and our units seized his weapon.

The death toll of the Turkish army and its mercenaries has risen to 2,527 since the start of the Resistance of the Age in Afrin on 20/01/2018.
