"Peoples' fraternity is key to Syrian crisis"

The Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) in Tel Hamis organized on Monday a meeting for the residents of the district and the countryside, the clans’ elders and notables of the area, as well as the members of the towns’ councils to explain the latest political developments on the Syrian arena.

During the meeting which was held at the Cultural Center in the district, the administrator in TEV-DEM Media Mohamed spoke about the latest political developments on the Syrian arena, and explained that the area is witnessing regional and international conflicts for their interests and those forces are striking the components of the area to each other to create stifling crises.

Media noted, "Today, we see that the Kurdish people and the people of northern Syria have succeeded in eradicating sectarianism, reactionary, chauvinism and nationalism, and planted instead the peoples’ fraternity among all the components in the area."

Media pointed out that the strategic goal of the Turkish occupation of Afrin canton is to block the project of the democratic nation, and to create sectarian conflicts among the peoples of the area.

And on the policy of the people of northern Syria, Media Mohammed said, "Our policy is to restore the national cohesion in Syria in general. We have appealed to the Syrian state that Turkey is an enemy of the Syrians in general and not only the Kurds. The peoples of northern Syria and Syria must liberate Idlib, Afrin, Jarablos and Azaz from the Turkish occupation.”

Furthermore, the meeting concluded by posing questions and inquiries about the current situation among the attendees.
