Kongra Star concluded its conference

Kongra Star held in the Euphrates region its 3rd conference which was held on Sunday at Baqi Khedo Center for Culture and Art in the presence of 271 members representing the areas, districts and towns of the Euphrates region and a number of guests.
 
After the speeches were delivered by the audience, and reading the annual report of Kongra Star, the conference continued to discuss the organizational situation of the conference, the problems faced by women in the society and the family and the ways to overcome them. Kongra Star has been criticized for not communicating with all women in the area in addition to not solving important issues and problems of women, especially in terms of early marriage and polygamy.
 
The conference also resulted in a number of decisions, the most important of which were the freedom of the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan is the basis of women's struggle, spreading the ideology and philosophy of Ocalan among women of all components, opening a special academy for women in Girê Spî canton, opening commune’s centers for women in each area, developing the training and its committees to be a means to develop women and their struggle, supporting and backing the liberation campaign of Afrin with all potentials and all means, developing the training programs for children and youths, strengthening the construction work by Kongra Star, activating committees within the women's communes, developing the economic projects specialized to women.
 
A general coordination for Kongra Star in the Euphrates area was elected, consisting of 5 female members; Sarah Khalil, Zahra Barkal, Hala Omar, Almaz Rumi and Dilan Hassen. Kongra Star Council in the Euphrates region was elected with 40 members from all components in the Euphrates region. The members of the new council then swore the oath.
 
Furthermore, the conference concluded by delivering a speech by the member of Kongra Star coordination in the Euphrates region Biman Edin as she said, "This is a historic day. Women discussed their affairs and activities freely, and this is considered a spiritual and intellectual union."
 
The conference ended with chanting slogans which salute the struggle of free women and Imrali resistance.
