Kobanî people bid farewell martyr Berîtan Zenar

Kobanî canton’s people have bid farewell the martyr Berîtan Zenar’s corpse to her last resting place in the shrine of Martyr Dejla south of Kobanî city.

KOBANI

Hundreds of people from Kobanî canton participated in the funeral of the fighter from the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) Suzdar whose nom de guerre is Berîtan Zenar, and who was martyred in al-Shadadi district of al-Hasaka canton to her last resting place at the Shrine of the Martyr Dejla.

The funeral began with holding a minute of silence and performing a military parade. The was followed by delivering a speech on behalf of the forces of Self-Defense Duty by Nabu Murad, in which he said, "July is of the holy months in the history of Kurdistan, the comrades resisted heroically in the face of the fascist Turkish state in Amed prison."

Then, the martyr’s document was read and handed over to her family.

Furthermore, the funeral ended with chanting the slogans that immortalize the martyrs.
