Abducting civilians, looting properties continue in Afrin

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries continue to kidnap civilians from the villages and towns of Afrin canton, and the mercenaries demand ransoms for the release of the abductees. Moreover, the mercenaries continue to steal civilians’ properties and confiscate their homes.

According to a source from Satya village related to Janders area, on Friday, the mercenaries of the so-called Faileq al-Sham and al-Hamzat of the Turkish occupation army kidnapped 2 citizens of the village on the charge of the lack of a license to the weapon and the other that he was an administrator in the commune.

The source pointed out that the mercenaries released them in return for paying a ransom of money, while the mercenaries stationed in the village and seized a number of houses to make them headquarters, including the house of Ahmed Hessou located in the south-west of the village.

The source noted, "The mercenaries looted and stole the copper wires from the electric shafts and stole the contents of the village mosque."

The fate of hundreds of Afrin residents; young men, women and the elderly people remains unknown since the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries entered Afrin canton on March 18.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries abducted more than 140 citizens during June, and burnt of dozens of hectares of agricultural lands, including the only island in Maidanki district. ANHA agency published a document on the violations and aggression of the Turkish occupation army and mercenaries against the people of Afrin last June.
