YPG: 2 Turkish soldiers, 3 mercenaries killed in Afrin

The media center of the People's Protection Units (YPG) said that as a result of the operations carried out by the protection units in the second stage of the resistance in Afrin canton, 2 Turkish army’s soldiers were killed in Kafer Jannah village; one of them is an officer, 3 mercenaries were killed and 2 were injured in Shadia village.

"On July 3, our forces targeted a military convoy of the Turkish occupation in Kafer Jannah village of Shara district in Afrin canton, and in the result, 2 soldiers killed among them an officer, and their names were documented, Mohammed Kara, and Orhan Damir.

After the successful operation by our units, the Turkish occupation and its mercenary factions carried out a large-scale combing operation with a short duration, and the campaign ended without results.

On July 6 and according to information provided by some of the village's agents to the Turkish occupation, the Turkish occupation army and Ahrar al-Sharqiyah mercenaries launched a vast combing operation in Shadia village in Rajo district. Clashes broke out in the area from 05:00 until 10:00, and the strong clashes that took place resulted in killing 3 mercenaries, and wounding 2 others with seriously injuries; one of them is called Bassem Ismail from Deir ez-Zor. Furthermore, 2 of our fighters were martyred after they made heroic resistance, and another fighter of our troops was wounded and captured by the Turkish occupation.

Thus, the number of the mercenaries and soldiers of the Turkish occupation who were killed by our units during the fighting in the Resistance of the Age at its first and second stages rose to 2,504.
