Dêrik bid farewell martyr Ali al-Ahmed

When the mourners arrived at the shrine, the funeral ceremony began with holding a minute of silence. Then, the soldiers of the Self-Defense Duty performed a military parade.

After that, the YPG's commander Şangal Tel Koçer delivered a speech in which he offered condolences to the families of the martyrs and said, "We are fighters and supporters for the freedom of our land, and our people, and we will keep the promise that we have made to our martyrs to continue their path until achieving the goals that they have sacrificed their lives for."

The co-chair of the Antiquities and Tourism Body Hussain al-Ali then delivered a speech on behalf of Democratic Autonomous Administration and said, "Our martyrs are our commanders and their struggle and their sacrifices are heading towards victory and freedom because they are our torch to move towards creating a free and democratic society governed by passion, peace and peoples’ fraternity."

Then, the document of the martyr Ferhad was read and handed to his family amid chanting the slogans that salute the martyrs and their struggle.
