Liberating Afrin is duty of every citizen

The meeting was attended by hundreds of Afrin canton people who are living in al-Shahba canton. After holding a minute of silence, the final statement issued by the conference was read. Then, the participants explained all the details that were discussed in the conference, the most important of which was the heroic resistance showed against the most violent attacks that the people of Afrin and the area were exposed to.

In addition, the speakers focused on the defects and negativities that have emerged in the works of the military and civil institutions in Afrin and not taking the necessary security and precautionary measures in anticipation of the use of heavy weapons, especially warplanes, stressing that caves and shelters had to be cleaned and equipped to protect the civilians.

Then, the members listened to the views of the people and their proposals on the future stage and how to work to avoid the defects that occurred and the work for liberating Afrin.

At the end of the meetings, the members presented their self-criticism before the attendees. In turn, the people affirmed their acceptance the situation and that the liberation of Afrin requires the work of every citizen. Accordingly, they expressed their readiness to stand by YPG and YPJ forces and to provide whatever would be required from them in order to continue the resistance until the liberation of Afrin and their return to their homes.
