A Turkish mercenary admits what he intended to do

The Security Forces in Manbij arrested a mercenary whose name is Qusay Maher; an element of the mercenary gangs known as the Euphrates Shield when he was preparing to launch an attack on Manbij city. Maher explained that he was ordered to target the members of Manbaj Military Council and attack them in addition to sending pictures and videos documenting the attacks to Turkish army’s commanders.

The mercenary Qusay Maher was born in Qarat village in Jarablus and lives in Manbij. Maher said that the so-called Mohammed Abboud who is an element of al-Jabha al-Shamiya made a call with him from Azaz and told him that they are going to do a job together. Qusay Maher continued, "We set a deadline and we met in Qarat village which is located within the boundaries of Jarablus city which is dominated by the Turkish army.”

10,000 dollars for the attack

Qusay Maher explained that if he had carried out the attack and sent pictures and videos to the Turkish army’s commanders, he would have received $ 10,000 for that. He added, "They told me to not carry out the attack until we order you. The aim of this operation is to say that al-Jabha al-Shamiya exists in Manbij and can carry out operations there. The Turkish army's goal is to show that they have sleeper cells within the city.”

The fighting among the mercenaries continues and did not stop

Since the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries have occupied Jarablus city, chaos and fighting among the mercenary gangs continue. The Turkish occupation army seeks to instigate a similar chaos in Manbij to have an excuse to occupy the city. So far, the fighters of Manbij Military Council and the Security Forces have thwarted many attempts of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries. Furthermore, it has been clear that the Turkish intelligence (MIT) directly controls these mercenaries and uses them to target the elements of Manbaj Military Council.

The operations of Manbij Military Council and the Security Forces in Manbij continue against the mercenary gangs and the sleeper cells in Manbij.
