Work project in Ain Issa to discuss priorities of Syrian women

In order to support and develop the role of women in the region and to present all the problems and priorities of Syrian women, the Syrian Women's Office, with the support of UN Women, organized a workshop to find ways to help women in the newly liberated areas and to develop a plan of work for women in the area.

Under the patronage of the Syrian Women's Office and with the support of the United Nations Women's Body, a workshop was held today in the Ain Issa district of Girê Spî canton, in order to support and develop the role of women in the newly liberated areas and the role of women in the coming days.

The workshop was attended by Lina Berakat, her deputy Siham Qario, the coordinator Nujine Yousef, member of the Development Without Borders organization Abdul Aziz al-Haj Ismail, in addition to all members of the Syrian Women's Offices in Deir ez-Zor, al-Tabqa, Ain Issa, al-Raqqa, Tal Abyed and Kobanî.

During the meeting, Lina Berkat spoke about the reality of Syrian women before and after the events in Syria, where she touched upon the problems that went through and how the Syrian Women's Council can contribute to re-activating the role of women again and to include them within the projects.

Lina Berkat noted, "Through these workshops we will provide the necessary assistance and support to women and help women to participate in the fields of political, cultural and other economic fields."

The attendees discussed the problems experienced by women in the region and how to find ways to assist them and introduce them into women's projects.
