YPG: 15 elements of Turkish occupation, its gangs killed

People Protection Units (YPG) on Friday released a written statement on the operations carried out by People Protection Units (YPG) against the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries in Afrin.

The text of the statement:

Within the framework of the second phase of Resistance of the Age against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, our units carried out a series of military operations against the occupation army and its mercenaries in Sherawa districts' villages in Afrin canton, killing at least 15 soldiers of Turkish occupation and its gangs.

On June 14, at 1:30 a.m., our units detonated an explosive device with a military vehicle belonging to the Red Hats mercenaries (Special Forces to al-Hamza Corps) on the road between Barada and Kimara villages belonging to Sherawa district in Afrin canton  whose name is : Mustafa al- Abdullah from the northern countryside of Aleppo, Mohammed Khalid al- Mahmoud from Jabal al- Zawia, Ahmed Abu Jarrah.

At dawn of the same day, our forces again detonated another explosive device with an armored vehicle belonging to the Turkish occupation in vicinity of Khalta village at the center of Afrin city. Afterwards, a military vehicle loaded with a number of soldiers and mercenaries intervened to rescue the killed where they were also subjected to another explosion at the hands of our forces led to the destruction. Our troops ambushed Turkish occupation's gangs who came to rescue the others where clashes broke out and a number of mercenaries were killed as a result of the operations in vicinity of Khalta village was confirmed the killing of at least 12 mercenaries and a Turkish soldier, in addition to the destruction of an armored vehicle and a military vehicle.

Thus, the number of mercenaries and Turkish soldiers killed by our units during the fighting in Resistance of the Age rose to 2,479.”
