Leader: Civilians guide us to laser mines planted by IS mercenaries

For the 8th day in a row, al-Jazeera Tempest campaign, which was resumed by SDF, continues to liberate al-Dashisha town, in which the fighters become on its outskirts.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) liberated on Monday the villages of Tarifawi and Abdel-Al east of al-Shaddadi district in al-Hasakah canton, after fierce battles broke out between the fighters and IS mercenaries, resulting in the flight of the mercenaries to al-Dashisha town.

"We defeated IS mercenaries from these villages after violent clashes, and the morale of the fighters is very high to liberate every inch of lands occupied by Daesh," said the leader of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Ahmad al-Muhammad, who participated in the liberation of the villages.

"IS mercenaries had used all its heavy weapons to obstruct our progress, but we have advanced and managed to free the civilians who appealed to us to free them and rid them of the injustice of terrorism they have suffered for years," he said.

He stressed that IS mercenaries are planting laser mines in the civilians' houses to block their progress and to prevent the people from leaving the battle zones, noting that the villagers are telling them where the mines had been planted.

At the end of his speech, the leader Ahmed al-Muhammad said that "the fighters of Syrian Democratic Forces are continuing to liberate the areas of IS mercenaries, whatever the price is."

Laser mines are two mines that are placed against one another when any object passes between them, the two mines explode with a high destructive force.
