The Iraqi Interior Ministry announced that the Civil Defense Forces are trying to control the fire that broke out in the warehouses of the Electoral Commission next to al-Rusafa in Baghdad.

The Security Committee in Baghdad Council revealed that the fire that broke out on Sunday afternoon in the capital took place in the warehouses of the Commerce Ministry which the committee rented to put the ballot boxes inside, noting that the ballot boxes burned completely.

The fire broke out after allegations that stated that widespread abuses in last month's parliamentary elections.

On Wednesday, the Parliament passed a law on recounting manually all over the country, calling for the law to appoint nine judges instead of the Commissioners Board to oversee it.
