Cases' number received by General Prosecution in al-Jazrat increased

In order to achieve the principle of social justice and to eliminate the power and rigidity of complex laws that often do not take into account the social situation of the peoples of a given area, the Prosecution and Investigation Body of the Public Prosecution in al-Jazrat area is working to involve civil society and institutions in achieving social justice, guaranteeing the rights of all the conflicting parties and eliminating problems in a consensual manner and solve problems by social solutions that restore love and tolerance to the souls.

One of the institutions that establish the principle of social justice with the Justice Body is the "Peace Committees", which play an active role in resolving issues peacefully and by mutual consent and instilling a spirit of love and tolerance among members of society.

As for the Women's House, it is responsible of solving the problems of women, legitimate issues and marital disputes, between the parties, the defense and the protection of women's legitimate rights.

The Public Prosecutor's Office in al-Jazrat area of the eastern ​​Deir ez-Zor which was established on 21/4/2018 by the Prosecution and Investigation Body, each Body includes of 3 administrators of both sexes and legal experts from the area.

There are numerous criminal cases, such as murder, quarrels, assaults, arms trade, fraud, breach of public morality, and other cases related to social disputes between the residents, whether social or financial disputes over property.  These issues are usually dealt with by the reconciliation committee. If the conciliation committee reaches a solution to the dispute by mutual consent, it is proved in a record called the minutes of an asset agreement. In case the matter cannot be resolved through the conciliation committee, it is referred to the competent section.

On the work of the Public Prosecution, ANHA agency met with Judge Ali al-Arasan, a spokesman for the Prosecution Body. "Due to the ability of the Peace Committees and the Attorney General to solve many problems in the area in peaceful and conciliatory ways, the ruling regime of Syria and so far, and ask us to find solutions to their problems and issues, and in our hands about 100 cases, we have resolved 20 cases, including criminal cases and trespasses and some irregularities, including lawsuits exceeded some elements of Asayîş and SDF some citizens and was dissolved in cooperation with the military judiciary.

He continued: "These cases have been decided after the completion of all legal procedures and based on the penal laws adopted by the Civil Democratic Administration, taking into account the customs and with the participation of civil institutions concerned."

As for the remaining cases, he said: "The delay in deciding the rest of the cases is due to the lack of completion of the merits of the case and the absence of some parties to the cases in some cases and the ramifications of the subjects because of the long time on the facts so we study each case accurately so we can find a suitable formula to resolve in a mutual consent and to maintain social cohesion among the people of the area.
